What is the best VIOLA for beginners?
You should NEVER purchase a viola from ebay. Violas and violins have to be set up correctly so that the pegs fit and the soundpost and bridge are correctly positioned. Otherwise the viola will be hard to tune and difficult to play.





You should only buy a viola from a proper violin/viola shop. General music shops are no good either ; they usually know nothing about violas.





If you live in a country area with no access to any violin shops then look at Shars ; at least they know about string instruments.

You cannot just go on brands or price. You really have to play the viola to hear it and see if it is any good. Try to vist a violin shop and see what they have on hand.
