i play the viola and am working through a grant application at the moment, i need to know what kind and make of instrument i want to apply for a grant for. the maximum i can get is £1200 and i dont want to go too much above that. if you have any recommendations they would be very much appreciated!

They are in the states, but Stringworks http://www.stringworks.com seems to have some very nice models in your price range. I think they are imported from Europe, though, so you might be able to find something closer to home.
