Reply:I play multiple instruments: Guitars, bass guitars, piano, keyboards, and drums and percussion. Had my hand at woodwinds and brass as a high schooler; even four-string violone in a symphonic band (E-A-D-G tuning most pieces, but had to retune to C-G-D-A, sub-octave to the 'cello, to pull off the string bass part on Carl Orff: Carmina Burana, since "O Fortuna" goes down to C1 at the coda, and several other movements go down to D1).

I'm also a pianist.


In the percussion part, I'm just a beginner in the snare drum and intermediate in the bass, timpani, cymbals, and auxiliary (depending on what type of auxiliary it is). But I'm and expert in the keyboard percussion. I'm just a junior in high school and I'm already on the college level. I've been playing mallets since 6th grade and this year, I'm learning to play with a 4 mallet grip. I'm hoping that my skills take me down the road to scholarships and job offers.

Reply:Piano, violin, viola, harp, and I sing. Piano is my major instrument (I'm studying piano performance at a local conservatory), followed by violin only because I've played it for the longest out of the rest of my instruments and done grade 8. I love all my instruments. But I think I like singing more than violin...so I might consider changing my 2nd instrument to voice, though I won't dare bank on being a professional (I don't even know if I've the potential to).
